When To Swing Hard?

About the only time you would want to swing real hard through the ball would be in a trouble situation. Like having to get the ball up over a tree. In order to get the ball in the air and high you would obviosly have to strike the ball very aggressively.

Other than that - swing at about 75 to 80%.

Choke Down on the Driver

If you are really struggling hitting the Driver in a round of golf, do something you probably never even tried. Choke down on the Driver even if it's down to the metal on the shaft. I never see anyone try this - but it can help you start hitting the golf ball a bit more solid. By shortening the club - you have just made the club easier to swing. In fact - I think most golfers can't handle the Driver lengths these days.

Back in the eighties - the 43" Driver was a common thing. Nowadays - the 45" Driver is the common thing. Two inches might not sound like a alot - but in golf it's like a mile.

Why not give it a try? Let me know if this helps you.
