The ellusive Impact Position - just what the heck is Impact Position - or the moment of truth in the golf swing. Does it really matter what my impact is? You bet it does! This is written for the right handed golfer. Here it is -
At impact you need these conditions in order to have consistent good contact on the ball - if you leave one out, good luck finding your golf ball.
1. left arm and shaft form an inline relationship with the shaft leaning forward.
2. 60 - 65% of more weight on left leg.
3. hips slightly turned to the left while your shoulders parallel to target line.
4. right ankle rolled inward while closing the gap between the knees.
Go to the range and try to incorporate some of this in slow mo, give it time to work - be patient and enjoy the progress you'll see down the road.
